Q1: Is it effective if taken immediately before sexual activity?

A1: Recommended to take 20 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity.
Although it acts relatively quickly among ED medications, effects aren't immediately felt after ingestion.

Q2: Are generic drugs less effective?

A2: Generic versions have equivalent efficacy to Snovitra.
Since they contain the same active ingredient, there's no difference in effectiveness.

Q3: Will it cause automatic erection after taking?

A3: Requires sexual stimulation to induce erection.
The medication won't forcibly cause erection.

Q4: Can Snovitra be used while taking other medications?

A4: Consult your doctor if taking other medications long-term.
Some drugs may have contraindications or require special precautions when combined.

Take 20 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity.

First-time users of Snobitra are advised to start with a 10mg dose.
The tablet can be split into half (10mg) using a pill cutter.

Contraindications

・Individuals with cardiovascular diseases (heart or vascular disorders) who should avoid sexual activity

・Those with hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension

・Individuals with a history of cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, or myocardial infarction within the past 6 months

Primary Side Effects

The main side effects include decreased blood pressure due to vasodilation, eye congestion, facial flushing, palpitations, nasal congestion, and similar symptoms.

These symptoms are believed to be caused by the vasodilatory effects, and they may alleviate when increased sexual desire accelerates penile blood flow.

Special Symptoms

Special symptoms such as visual abnormalities may occur, including a blue-tinted vision effect or difficulty distinguishing between blue and green hues.
In most cases, these are temporary and not a cause for concern. However, if there is a sudden severe decline in vision, there may be a risk of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

If sudden vision loss or blindness occurs, consult an ophthalmologist immediately.

If an erection persists with pain for more than 4 hours, there may be a risk of priapism (persistent erection).

If the erection lasts for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

※What is non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)?
When blood supply to the optic nerve is interrupted, the optic nerve cells may malfunction or die, a condition known as ischemic optic neuropathy. Although the causal relationship is not fully established, studies have found a weak correlation with users of ED medications.

※What is priapism (persistent erection)?
Priapism, also known as persistent erection, is a condition where the penis remains erect and cannot return to its normal state or does so with extreme difficulty, also referred to as penile rigidity. The primary cause is dysfunction in the penile arterial system. If an erection persists for more than 4 hours without subsiding, seek medical help immediately.

Contraindicated Drug Combinations

Contraindicated drug combinations refer to medications that interact with Snovitra and must not be taken simultaneously.

・Nitrates and NO donor drugs
(Nitroglycerin, amyl nitrite, isosorbide mononitrate, etc.)
Combined use may enhance hypotensive effects.

・Amiodarone hydrochloride
(Cordarone tablets)
Concurrent use may intensify QT interval prolongation caused by amiodarone hydrochloride.

・CYP3A4 inhibitors
(Antifungals, HIV medications, telithromycin, nefazodone, ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, nelfinavir, atazanavir, etc.)
May increase plasma concentration of this drug and prolong its half-life.

・Nirmatrelvir/Ritonavir (Paxlovid)

・Emtricitabine (Zocova)

Drugs Requiring Caution

Drugs requiring caution refer to medications that need special attention when used with Snovitra.

・Grapefruit (including juice)
Contains furanocoumarins that inhibit metabolic enzyme activity, delaying drug breakdown.
May lead to excessive absorption of drug components, enhancing effects or side effects.

・Antihypertensive drugs
Since Snovitra has hypotensive effects, concurrent use with antihypertensive drugs may cause temporary dizziness, unsteadiness, and other hypotension symptoms.

・Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

・Keep out of reach of children.

・Do not transfer contents from the original container to prevent accidental ingestion or product deterioration.

・For opened products requiring multiple doses, store with minimal air exposure and consume within 2 days.

・Do not consume or use products past their labeled expiration date.
